White Wholes (WW)

Cashew kernels may be light brown, light ivory, light ash-grey or deep ivory. Kernels may show light brown speckles or blemishes on the surface, provided that not more than 40% of the kernels are affected

Lightly Blemish Wholes (LBW)

Cashew kernels may be yellow, light brown, light ivory, light ash-grey or deep ivory

Scorched Wholes (SW)

Cashew kernels may be deep yellow, brown, amber or light to deep blue. Kernels may be slightly shriveled,immature or may be brown speckled or blemished on the surface, provided that not more than 60 percent of the kernels are affected.

Blemish Wholes (BW)

Kernels broken crosswise and naturally attached. Cashew shall be white pale ivory, or light ash in colour reasonably dry and free from insect damaged, damaged kernels and black spot.

White Butts (WB)

LBB
Kernels broken crosswise and naturally attached. Cashew kernels may be light brown, light ivory, light ash-grey or deep ivory. Kernels may show light brown speckles or blemishes on the surface, provided that not more than 40% of the kernels are affected

Light Blemish Butts (LBB)

WS
Kernels split naturally lengthwise. Cashew kernels shall be white, pale ivory or light ash-grey in colour, free from insect damage, damaged kernels and black spots. The pieces shall be completely free from skin.

White Split (WS)

LWP
Kernels broken into more than two pieces and not passing through a sieve of aperture 4.75 mm.

Large White Pieces (LWP)

SWP
Broken kernels smaller than described as LWB, but not passing through a sieve of aperture 2.80 mm.

Small White Pieces (SWP)

BB
Broken kernels smaller than those described as SWP, but not passing through a sieve of aperture 1.70 mm.
